Helen is a British actor/writer based in LA with 15 + years experience working in international film, TV, comedy writing/performing, improv, teaching acting-for-screen at The Pauline Quirke Academy (PQA) in the UK, mentoring children as part of Sony Pictures’ charity “Young Storytellers LA” and is an emerging name in the video game voiceover world. Before leaving for the states, she was invited on to the BAFTA Jury for the BAFTA Comedy Awards 2015.
Writing credits include developing her sitcom “The Players” with BBC Comedy, material for the award-winning satirical comedy show “News Revue” at The Canal Cafe, London, her own material at The Canal Cafe and the bitingly-satirical comedy short “Whore: Table #6” - an Official Selection at the HBO Women In Comedy FF, Dances With Films FF, Catfish Shorts! FF and the Oscar Qualifying HollyShorts FF 2019 in LA.
Film work includes WW2 drama “Liberté: A Call To Spy” directed by Lydia Dean Pilcher (Nominated for Best International Feature at Edinburgh International FF 2019), “Jellyfish” directed by James Gardner (Tribeca FF 2018), 1980s comedy “VHyes” (shot entirely on VHS!) directed by Jack Henry and Tim Robbins and “86 Melrose Avenue” directed by Lili Matta, Cannes FF twice-nominated “Safari” directed by Yayo Herrero, Going Under (BFI London FF) directed by Toby Paton, The Car Washer directed by James Gardner (NFTS) and Ghosted (LOCO FF, LSFF) directed by Empire Magazine’s Neville Pierce.
